A 56 T-bird, raindrops, and a ballerina

Sunday I had the honor of doing a family photoshoot that was a bit different from any I have done so far, but if you know me, I love different! This one was of a family of men with all the same last name, three generations to be exact. The other subject was a very special car, which it was an honor to shoot!! I have this thing for classic cars, especially convertibles! This car was bought with a dream and hard work. I loved being able to snap pictures of all men for a change. Just as we wrapped, it began raining and I spotted a little ballerina who wanted to dance in the rain, for an extra shoot that resulted in some of my top favs ever! Enjoy, and let me know what you think! I hope you like the peek Atkins fam!

My umbrella from Mom just happens to be my fav ever since I'm a dreamer. What more could you want than beautiful blue skies when it's raining! I guess Claritin-D gets some free advertising from it. That stuff works wonders!

Vacation Bible School

Every year I volunteer to help out with Vacation Bible School at my church. Every year I have loads of fun with the kids, but this year has to be the best! I have 10 minutes with each class (yes, I let them run over 10 min), which seems like to small amount of time to have fun, but we have a blast. I'm the luckiest teacher of all because I do activities with every class and not just one. We do fun games with a parachute and I taught some of classes to play ultimate frisbee. I've enjoyed this year for many reasons and yesterday I decided to take my camera and capture the moments I enjoy! I hope you enjoy too and see the happiness on the children's faces! May I add that if you were there and would like a cd, email me at lifesmirrorimages@gmail.com! Look at those eyes!!
Silly pictures, always with children!

My favorite class that makes me want to be an elementary teacher and they were all boys!!

I found him a worm

Playing under the parachute

Yes, we had to make silly faces too!!

Holland's Chapel, over 100 years old... where I grew up going to church, and my mom, her mom, and even her mom!

View from my special spot

When I was little, I would walk around the perimeter of the church and find frogs, so yesterday I did this in remembrance of my childhood. Ok, so maybe I still do this every time!

Yummy snacks thanks to Mrs. Joyce and Mrs. Joyce!

Bridal Tea

I recently got the opportunity to shoot a bridal tea, which I enjoyed. Yes, I do events too!! The bride is so photogenic! I wish I had more shoots with her! The groom's grandmother is one of the sweetest and most genuine people that I know, and I enjoyed shooting her family for her. Ms. Emma, I hope you enjoy these! Thanks for the yummy food!

This girl REMINDS me of someone who is close to someone that reads this blog. Do you know who it is? Her mannerisms were a lot like this girl and her outfit...

Someone I like very much, who just happens to love taking pictures too!

This girl just kept doing things that remind me of myself as a child AND now!! They opened this gift and didn't know what it was and she grabbed it and said, "Hey don't you know it's a hat?"

Hitchhiker

A friend recently stopped by to surprise me with a magnolia bloom, which smelled divine, but I made sure to keep my allergic nose away! I was looking at it later that evening and found a hitchhiker...just had to share
I also want to thank my wonderful close friend, Cale, for scoring me with a logo and business cards, which I love!! I just realized he needed some recognition. If you need a graphic designer, I can hook you up with a really good one!
In the mean time enjoy this photo:

I've really been reflecting a lot this week and counting my blessings. Not that this is anything new bc I'm often reflecting and count my blessings EVERY day, but this week has been more so than usual. Maybe it's because I'm creeping up on my two year anniversary of my wreck... Anyway, one of the things I'm thankful for is to pull up in my driveway and see little Irie sticking her nose out to see who's home. It's so cute that it makes me smile every time, and I'm always looking for her if the dogs aren't already in the house with Daniel. I had to share!

Brody's newborn

These are from a recent photo shoot of a newborn and his 2 year old brother. If the brother looks familar, you've seen him in the mom's maternity shots! He is so fun to shoot, and his new baby brother was so easy and calm! My favorites wound up being mostly black and white. I'm really into the black and white newborn shots. Enjoy!

My very favorite one b/c he looks like a little Indian
